Prior to enrolling in the MBA, Hamish was a senior technology manager at UC, running the process management, projects and programme governance, software development and support teams.
During his career in IT, Hamish had realised that most of the issues that commonly affected IT projects were not necessarily caused the technology, but were related to the business expectations of technology and its capabilities.
I was working at UC and living in Christchurch, so it made sense. Also, I’d been assisting senior staff to understand the technology to do their own MBAs – especially the quants course!
